Description: Stucco remediation project in Eastern Pennsylvania performed by Guzzo Stucco. This house had a stucco inspection with moisture readings that were high suggesting damage to the sheathing.

  • OSB sheathing at bottom and under window replaced with new sheathing.
  • Chimney completely replaced with new sheathing because the damage was so bad.
  • Damage at the bottom from no drainage.
  • Bottom of sheathing completely rotted from no weep screed and window flashing.
  • Major wood rot and mold growth from window leaking and no flashing.
  • Left side of house before stucco removed.
  • Leaking window causes damage behind stucco.
  • When a window leaks with no flashing, damage to the wood and mold growth always occurs behind any exterior façade.
  • No window flashing causes damage.
  • Completed stucco remediation. Notice offset at framing foundation junction allowing drainage.
